The Show Low Magistrate Court handles cases involving
city ordinance violations, civil traffic offenses which occur within the city
limits of Show Low and misdemeanor charges which carry a maximum penalty of
$2,500 fine and up to six (6) months in jail.
Court is on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and
juvenile appearances begin at 11:00 a.m. You may see the judge any Monday at
9:00 a.m. without an appointment.
Regular business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday (excluding court holidays). Payments
8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m.
The city court does not hear small claims, civil law
suits or forcible detainer actions (landlord/tenant matters); these are heard in
the justice courts of Navajo County.
In civil traffic matters you are not required to appear
in person if you follow the options listed in the bond schedule the officer
provides at the time of the traffic stop.
