Aerobics Instructor

announces recruitment for the position of an Aqua Aerobics Instructor.

The Job:
Job duties include teaching water aerobics to all ages. Reports to the
Assistant Aquatics Director with other supervision from the Aquatics Director
and indirect supervision of the Community Services Director. Direct all phases
of aqua aerobics to ensure the safety of all that participate. Performs other
duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements: High
school graduate or GED. Applicant should be able to work morning, early
afternoon, late afternoon, and evening hours as determined by the aerobics
schedule. Must enjoy water and working with people of all ages. Applicant
should be a strong swimmer who is a self starter capable of following through on
assignments and duties assigned.
Certifications:
Preferred certifications include: CPR, First Aid, and a Water Aerobics
certification from a national certifying agency. If necessary, we will train
qualified applicants.
Selection Process:
Will consist of an application screening with the most qualified candidates
being invited to participate in a personal interview. Appointment subject to
successful completion of background investigation and City-paid, pre-employment,
post-offer, physical examination and drug screening.
