Parks Maintenance
Division
The Maintenance Division is responsible for the care and
maintenance of Festival Marketplace, Centennial Park, Frontier Park, Nikolaus Homestead Skate Park, Raeland Park, McCarty Park, Tyler Park, the
City Park, and the Show Low Cemetery. Also maintained are the pocket parks
on the Deuce of Clubs at 4th, 5th, and 6th Streets, Cooley street between
HWY 260 and 9th Street, and Central Avenue at Burger King.
The Parks are a great place for family recreation. We offer
Racquetball, Tennis, Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, Volleyball, Frisbee golf,
Baseball, Softball, Skating, Biking, and all varieties of playground
activities. We have a fantastic jogging trail with fitness stations for
the community to enjoy. We have pavilions and ramadas, both large and
small, to accommodate almost any size party, reunion, church retreats or
other outdoor activities. Large Pavilion rentals may be reserved at the Show Low
Family Aquatic Center at 928-532-4140. Pavilions are available to
rent from April through September. Centennial Park is handicapped
accessible, with a soft surfaced play area that will accommodate wheel
chairs or electric scooter chairs. The City Park and Centennial Park have
full restroom facilities.
We strive to accommodate all aspects of the
community, and we now have a dedicated "Dog Park". We welcome our
four legged friends, but we must remind you that there is a leash
ordinance that is strictly enforced. Please clean up after your animals,
and help us to keep areas clean and beautiful.
The Maintenance Crew invites you to use and enjoy our
City
Parks, however, we are experiencing an influx of vandalism. This
damage is senseless and costly at times to repair. To report problems with
vagrants or vandalism, please call the Show Low Parks Maintenance
Supervisor at 928-532-4113 or the Show Low Police Department at
928-537-4365. |
