Records
Records handles all
phases of record-keeping and public record distribution for the Show
Low Police Department. Duties include maintaining and providing
copies of police and accident reports to insurance companies,
attorneys and the public, as well as providing information on arrests
and major cases to the Navajo County attorney and other agencies for
prosecution. In 2006, Records processed 4,021 Departments reports.
Other duties include:

Handling walk-in lobby traffic.

Maintaining the Standard Operating
Procedures manual.

Recording video
and audio duplication as necessary for court proceedings and
attorneys.

Working with officers to update and
create forms for officers' use.

Monitoring United Crime Reporting (UCR)
and juvenile justice compliance.

Submitting all reportable accidents
to the Arizona Department of Transportation in Phoenix.

Providing
fingerprinting
of the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
