Come enjoy family-friendly
activities
Ever wonder how a taser works? Want to
watch the jaws of life in action? How much gear does the SWAT (Special Weapons
and Tactics) team carry and why? What types of hazardous material spills can the
fire department handle? Can a police dog really find drugs? Get answers to these
and many other questions at the 8th annual public safety open house, hosted by
Show Low’s police and fire departments on Saturday, October 2 from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. at the 100 block of North 6th Street. This family-friendly event features
hands-on activities, free hot dogs and hamburgers, games, a fire safety program
for kids, free gun locks and a child seat safety inspection program. Meet Eddie
Eagle and McGruff and their friends and enjoy equipment and personnel
demonstrations. Bring the family and come out for some public safety fun!
