The 14th Annual Tri-in-the-Pines was a success considering the economy, with only 24 fewer participants than last year. This year’s event seemed to run much smoother and was well organized.
B. Capitol Christmas Tree Project
The tree will come out of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest found in the White Mountains of Arizona. About 5,000 handmade ornaments from Arizona’s school children will be on the tree. We are asking our elementary schools, afterschool programs, and other organizations to be involved. The tree cutting ceremony will take place November 7, 2009.
