City 4 Television
Sponsorship Program
Overview of sponsorship program
City 4 TV is offering organizations, including for-profit and not-for-profit
entities, an opportunity to sponsor a locally produced program in exchange
for media recognition.
1) A sponsor will receive two 15-second spots per program cablecast, shown
at the beginning and end of each program. Included in the spot will be the
organization's name, logo (if available), telephone number or other contact
information, and a voice over of the organization's slogan or a brief
description of the organization.
2) Each sponsorship contract lasts for three months, beginning on the first
day of the month following contract approval and signing, for a total of
$500. An organization may opt for a one-month contract for $200. However,
sponsor contributions may include in-kind services, equipment, and/or
supplies if approved in advance by the Station Manager.
3) Each sponsor may designate the program of his/her choice, but the program
must be exclusively taped, edited, and produced by City 4 TV. Each program
is cablecast a minimum of four times weekly. Consequently, the sponsor's
message will be shown approximately 16 times a month.
4) A not-for-profit organization that provides proof of its 501(c)3 status
may receive a 50% discount off listed prices.
Sponsorship program rules
1) No advertisement will be shown on City 4 TV. "Advertisement" means any
message or other programming material that is cablecast or otherwise
transmitted in exchange for any remuneration and that is intended to (a)
promote any service, facility, or product offered by any person who is
engaged in such offering for profit or (b) support or oppose any candidate
for political office.
2) "Sponsorship" means any message or other programming material that is
cablecast or otherwise transmitted in exchange for any remuneration and that
is intended to acknowledge an organization's support of City 4 TV
programming.
3) An organization that wishes to sponsor programming on City 4 TV shall
make an application to the Station Manager that identifies the organization,
what program is to be sponsored, and for which length of time (one month or
three months) said organization wishes to be considered. If approved, a
not-for-profit organization that provides proof of its 501(c)3 status may
receive a 50% discount off listed prices.
4) The Station Manager shall review all sponsorship applications and
determine the availability of such programming for sponsorship. The Station
Manager shall then make a recommendation to the City Manager or his/her
designee. The City Manager or his/her designee shall have the sole
discretion to approve any sponsorship application on City 4 TV. The City
Manager or his/her designee shall consider the governmental access nature of
City 4 TV in making any decision regarding sponsorship.
5) Each sponsor acknowledgement shall be produced by City 4 TV. Length,
content, order, and sequence of appearance of each acknowledgement shall be
determined solely by the Station Manager.
6) Sponsor contributions may be in the form of money, in-kind services,
equipment, and/or supplies approved in advance by the Station Manager.
7) Nothing contained herein is intended to amend, alter, or modify City 4
TV's programming policy and use of Show Low's government access cable
channel.
8) Failure on the part of City 4 TV or the City of Show Low to comply with
any of the provisions contained herein shall not be construed to create any
benefit or right enforceable as a breach of contract or other legal action
against City 4 TV or the City of Show Low. Any such failure will be remedied
by City 4 TV as it, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate.
